Beschreibung

This event will take place at the heart of Microcitypôle d’innovation – (CSEM building at Jaquet Droz 1 and EPFL building at Maladière 71) in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Come along and welcome one of the top minds of the field of light, Professor Hiroshi Amano from the Nagoya University, who—along with two of his colleagues—won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2014 for breaking new ground with the invention of blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs), enabling new, bright, energy-saving white light sources.

Come and listen to keynote speakers:

  • Marilyne Andersen, Professor of Sustainable Construction Technologies at EPFL, whose work aims to provide new tools to harmoniously marry natural light with human-centered architecture.
  • Frederik Ottesen, co-founder of LittleSun, a company of top designers who bring new ideas to lighting concepts, and whose creations have been the subject of exhibitions in New York’s MoMA and London’s Tate Modern.

At the end of this one-day event, we will—together with our distinguished guests—try to imagine what the next big thing in light will be.
